Coterie Insurance is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to lead design, development, and maintenance of critical software systems. You will mentor teammates, shape architecture, ensure performance, and drive continuous improvement while embracing AI tooling.

This role offers a fully remote work setup and a path to impact a fast-growing insurtech platform. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering and insurance, with extensive C#/.NET API experience, microservices, and cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience.
• 5+ years working in the insurance industry.
• 5+ years building production-ready APIs in C# with .NET 5+.
• Experience in a micro-services architecture in containers.
• Experience with cloud-based SQL/NoSQL databases and cloud services.
• Experience using Git and GitHub for collaboration and code reviews.
• Experience writing unit tests and automated integration tests.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and participates in code reviews.
• Willing to learn new technologies and contribute to improvement.
