Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Ability to define a technical plan for delivering a significant feature with simple, extensible design.
• Comfort making large codebase changes with supporting tools and practices.
• Strong ownership, seeking feedback and collaborating across teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team and guide engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to align on constraints and trade-offs.
• Identify and lead resolution of project, process, or tech issues.
• Support operations and on-call efforts and monitor team artifacts.
• Set and promote code review and design standards beyond the team.
• Mentor teammates and lead by example.
