Affirm is building backend systems at scale, using Python or Kotlin to deliver reliable, high-performance services that power our mission. You will own the delivery of significant features, design elegant, extensible components, and lead a team through ambiguity.

You will collaborate with product, design, and analytics, drive technical plans, monitor metrics, and champion high-quality code in a remote-first environment with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience defining a technical plan for delivery of significant features or systems.
• Strong communication skills across global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team and guide engineers through ambiguity.
• Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle with product, design & analytics.
• Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology or business issues.
• Maintain availability of team artifacts through metrics and on-call activities.
• Foster quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
• Develop talent by providing feedback and guidance.
