Qualifications

• Hands-on professional software development experience building, shipping, and operating production backend services.
• Strong production experience with Java SE, including object-oriented design, concurrency, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, particularly ECS and EC2, and strong DevOps fundamentals including CD, IaC, and multi-environment deployment.
• Strong algorithms, data structures, and mathematics skills, with the ability to reason about complexity, memory use, and performance trade-offs.
• Experience building and troubleshooting high-traffic distributed systems, including RESTful APIs, data formats such as JSON or Protocol Buffers, and observability practices such as logging, metrics, and tracing.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, implement, and maintain complex modules of processing and streaming services; optimize performance and memory use.
• Own assigned deliverables end to end: clarify requirements, make implementation decisions, and handle testing, deployment, and support.
• Build and operate AWS services across regions using ECS, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Elasticache, Lambda, and CloudFront.
• Investigate performance, concurrency, and reliability issues in production; perform root-cause analysis and implement lasting fixes.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions; assess trade-offs and implement designs aligned with technical direction.
• Improve test coverage, observability, deployment automation, and code quality; contribute code reviews and use IQ BOT.
