The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and own backend solutions from design through production, including debugging and optimization across multi-core servers. Remote-friendly with US hours.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Senior-level backend engineering experience required.
• Proven experience developing backend systems using Java.
• Backend experience with Java on AWS is required.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and autonomous ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable APIs and backend services.
• Write clean, minimal, readable, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code.
• Develop backend solutions using Java and modern cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement services capable of supporting highly scalable applications and workloads.
• Debug complex software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across backend services and applications.
• Develop concurrent code that effectively utilizes multi-core server environments.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Design, and Product teams to understand requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
• Translate detailed technical specifications and business requirements into scalable software solutions.
