Job summary

Dropzone AI is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to deepen integrations by building backend capabilities that connect the platform to customers' security environments. This hands-on role spans design through production, collaborating with product and security experts to tackle complex backend problems.

You will create connectors for SIEM/EDR/SOAR and cloud security, enable richer investigations by retrieving telemetry and enriching alerts, and design for reliability with robust handling of

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend services and production APIs.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience designing REST APIs with versioning, authentication and backward compatibility.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of databases, asynchronous processing, queues and cloud infra.
• Experience building automated tests and using logs, metrics and traces to diagnose issues.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and handling sensitive data/credentials.
• Ability to take ambiguous requirements to implementation, rollout and support.
• Clear communication and collaborative approach to engineering.
• Early-stage startup mindset with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with security tools by building connectors for SIEM, EDR, SOAR and cloud security systems.
• Enable richer investigations by retrieving telemetry, enriching alerts and exposing data to workflows.
• Design for reliability: handle rate limits, pagination, retries, timeouts and partial failures.
• Build security into the platform with authentication, authorization, credential management and audit logging.
• Own production outcomes: write tests, instrument services, monitor performance and troubleshoot APIs.
• Collaborate with product and security teams, influence architecture, review code and mentor peers.
• Deliver with sound judgment, balance speed and maintainability, and communicate risks early.
