TeamSnap is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our fully distributed engineering team. You will develop scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL, serving millions of daily users across youth sports platforms.

The role emphasizes API design, collaboration with product/UX, and ownership of reliability and testing practices in a remote-first environment. A minimum of 5+ years of backend experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience leading large projects on high-scale distributed software systems.
• Proficient in backend development with Node, Python, Golang, Ruby or similar.
• Experience with APIs, services for mobile/web at scale; working with distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop engaging experiences for millions of users across mobile and web apps.
• Design and implement scalable apps and services; integrate into unified product architecture.
• Collaborate with product/UX to brainstorm and evaluate new features.
• Champion automated testing and ensure reliability of backend services.
