Job summary

Ondo Finance is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our market making team. You will build and scale real-time backend systems in Rust and Go, handling pricing, hedging, and PnL across on-chain and traditional venues.

You will work remotely across the U.S. with high ownership and a fast-paced startup culture. You will own integrations with data feeds, exchanges, and cloud services, contributing to low-latency trading infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience in Go or Rust.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and real-time/latency-sensitive services.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and high-throughput production systems.
• Interest in Web3, DeFi, or trading systems, from work or side projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-latency backend systems for quoting, hedging, and executing across on-chain and traditional venues.
• Define interfaces between pricing, execution, and market data services.
• Own integrations with market data providers, exchanges, and on-chain venues.
• Build tooling for reconciliation and data integrity of positions, fills, and PnL.
• Enforce engineering standards and security across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
