Job summary

Ondo Finance is building a real-time, low-latency trading infrastructure to quote and hedge tokenized markets 24/7, across on-chain and traditional venues. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll own services in Go or Rust, design scalable systems, and coordinate with trading and infrastructure teams to maintain risk controls and data integrity.

You’ll work on pricing, execution, and PnL tooling in a fast-growing startup with a remote-first culture and high ownership expectations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend engineering in Go or Rust
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and real-time/latency-sensitive services
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and high-throughput systems
• Demonstrated interest in Web3, DeFi, or trading systems
• Familiarity with market microstructure or order execution is a plus
• Thrives in a fast-moving startup with high ownership over live production risk

Responsibilities

• Design low-latency backend systems for quoting, hedging, and executing across on-chain and traditional venues
• Collaborate with trading team to define interfaces between pricing, execution, and market data services
• Own integrations with market data providers, exchanges, and on-chain venues
• Build reconciliation and data-integrity tooling for positions, fills, and PnL
• Establish and enforce backend engineering standards and security protocols
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
