Job summary

NinjaTrader, a leading futures trading platform, is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and TypeScript, supporting funding and trading workflows.

You will lead teams, drive best practices, own uptime and resilience, implement observability with OpenTelemetry, and collaborate with finance, treasury, new accounts, and trading to build robust back-office tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with real-time applications.
• Proven Python and TypeScript backend experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and TypeScript.
• Lead development teams and ensure code quality and timelines.
• Own system uptime and resilience; implement monitoring with OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with finance, treasury, and trading teams to build back-office tools.
• Create technical docs for back-office workflows.
• Stay current with Python, TypeScript, and retail trading tech.
