Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Overseer team within FinHub in the Platform group. You will build and scale the real-time integrity layer that enforces financial correctness across Coinbase fund flows, designing and operating invariants and detection systems in production.

You will own workstreams end-to-end, partner with multiple teams, and mentor engineers on distributed systems design and production practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Experience with streaming data infrastructure and distributed data stores in real-time processing contexts.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages (Go, Ruby, Python).

Responsibilities

• Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement systems for fund flows.
• Own workstreams end-to-end from design to production operation.
• Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems and production practices.
