Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Overseer team within FinHub to build and scale real-time integrity layers for all fund flows. You will own end-to-end workstreams, design correctness models with partner teams, and operate detectors in production to ensure billions of transactions stay accurate and trustworthy.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across platforms, and help extend the invariant framework with AI-powered guardrails to flag deviations early.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Backend programming with Go, Ruby, Python.
• Ability to own workstreams end-to-end in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale real-time invariant enforcement systems across fund flows.
• Own workstreams end-to-end from design to production operation.
• Develop AI-powered guardrails and invariant discovery.
• Partner with FinHub, Payments, and Trading teams to implement correctness contracts.
• Mentor junior engineers on distributed systems and production practices.
