Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex backend systems supporting mission-focused environments. You will work on data engineering, API development, and scalable services using Python and FastAPI, with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.

The role emphasizes high-performance integrations across data-sensitive systems, with opportunities to influence architecture and engineering practices in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Backend developer experience.
• Data engineering and API development experience.
• Experience with Python and FastAPI.
• Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases with indexing.
• Proficiency in Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex backend software systems.
• Provide input to software component design incl. trade-offs and reuse.
• Design, implement, and integrate software applications and perform software engineering tasks.
• Use appropriate software engineering and design methodologies.
• Ensure efficient delivery using industry standards and processes.
• Mitigate risks and manage large-scale software projects.
• Review and test components and document results.
