Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a back-end developer experienced with FastAPI to build and maintain REST APIs in a production environment. You will design asynchronous endpoints, implement JWT authentication, RBAC, and integrate with external systems, while ensuring scalability and secure data handling.

You will work with SQLAlchemy Async, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and WebSockets, organize code in clean layers, and participate in reviews, sprints, and operational tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years professional experience in back-end development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI.
• Design secure, well-structured, and high-performance asynchronous endpoints.
• Work with JWT authentication, refresh tokens, and RBAC.
• Implement permission and profile-based access controls.
• Integrate internal and external systems via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Structure relational databases using SQLAlchemy Async.
• Perform relational modeling, queries, joins, indexes, migrations, and query optimization.
• Implement structured logging and centralized error handling.
• Work with Redis, caching, WebSockets, and asynchronous processing when required.
• Organize code in layers with a clear separation of responsibilities.
• Use Docker for running and standardizing the environment.
• Participate in meetings, technical alignments, validations, code reviews, sprint follow-ups, and operational tasks when requested by management, PM, PO, or technical leadership
