Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for mission-focused environments, emphasizing backend development, data engineering, and API work using Python and FastAPI.

The role involves designing and managing PostgreSQL databases, building scalable systems, and supporting high-performance integrations across high-speed, data-sensitive systems.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Backend development experience required.
• Experience in data engineering and API development.
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Elasticsearch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics, real-time processing, and data management.
• Provide input to software design, including trade-offs and requirements analysis.
• Design, implement, and integrate software applications and engineering tasks.
• Apply standard software engineering methodologies in development and production environments.
• Ensure efficient delivery using repeatable processes and industry standards.
