LVT (LiveView Technologies) is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer for our American Fork, UT headquarters. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, delivering high‑performance backend systems in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

You will mentor engineers, improve CI/CD pipelines, and ensure robust testing and documentation while supporting our growing platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience shipping production‑level microservices and APIs.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong Node.js & TypeScript skills with hands‑on API development experience (REST/GraphQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship high‑velocity backend features and API endpoints.
• Optimize API latency, query performance, and system architecture to scale the platform.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps to translate requirements into technical specs and timely releases.
• Uphold code quality through unit tests, reviews, and documentation.
• Provide mentorship and foster a learning environment across the team.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and tooling for efficient delivery.
• Stay current with cloud architectures and backend patterns to keep systems cutting‑edge.
