LVT is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to drive design, performance, and scaling of our core backend architecture from our American Fork headquarters. You will mentor engineers, elevate development standards, and partner with leadership to deliver resilient cloud services powering our intelligent site technology.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Production Node.js and TypeScript expertise.
• Experience with OpenAPI/REST and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with NestJS and containerized deployments.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Leadership and mentorship in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Strategic Technical Leadership across production services.
• Ship high-velocity, scalable Node.js/TypeScript backend code and APIs.
• Elevate engineering standards, code quality, and performance.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and development tooling for speed.
• Translate product visions into technical specifications and timelines.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural reviews and upskilling.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to future-proof backend systems.
