Job summary

Veriday Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Back End) for a contract assignment in Cincinnati, OH. You will provide technical leadership on enterprise applications, leveraging Java/J2EE, Spring, and AWS, with Terraform-based infrastructure automation.

You will design and consume RESTful web services, guide architecture, and mentor junior engineers to deliver secure and scalable software for a reputed banking client.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Java/J2EE development for enterprise applications.
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong AWS and Terraform automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and the Spring ecosystem.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS and design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Develop and consume high-performance, secure RESTful web services; SOAP knowledge is a plus.
• Drive architectural decisions and set best practices for code quality and microservices design.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain stability and performance.
• Evaluate emerging tools and practices to improve development processes.
