Job summary

Abacum is transforming how finance teams plan and operate, building an integrations-first backend platform that scales with client data and multi‑system workflows. As a Senior Backend Engineer in the integrations team, you will own design tradeoffs, broaden capabilities across ERP scripting, native extensions, and third‑party SDKs, and ship reliable, secure integrations at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience, 2+ in integrations roles.
• Strong background building data-heavy integrations.
• Hands-on depth in Python and modern backend systems.
• Experience architecting integrations platforms or APIs.
• Curiosity tackling ambiguous, high-stakes problems.

Responsibilities

• Move across multiple languages and ecosystems beyond Python/Django.
• Design and develop the integrations platform for data ingestion and annotation.
• Build and scale integrations with ERP, accounting, HRIS, and more.
• Architect low-code tools and choose integration strategies.
• Ensure security, resilience, and performance at scale.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customers to translate workflows into software.
