Unity Technologies SF is seeking an experienced senior backend developer to join the Offerwall team. You will design and build scalable backend services, process events at massive scale, and own parts of a large system with global collaboration.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development and high standards for reliability and security. You will work with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features, while championing code quality and best practices in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Backend development experience in Golang or Java.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed web services at scale.
• Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or comparable queues.
• Experience producing and analyzing web service event audit trails.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining quality, security and reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new product features, and refactor/optimize existing ones as conditions change.
• Build and maintain resilient backend services that process events at very large scale.
• Take ownership of a key part of a large system and deepen domain knowledge with team support.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers and related teams to deliver results reaching users.
• Use AI-assisted tools across coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, exploring AI approaches to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Apply engineering principles and bring your own practices to the team.
