Unity is seeking an experienced senior backend developer to join the Offerwall team in San Francisco. You will design, build, and refine high-scale backend services that identify users, handle accounting transactions, and deliver rewards, all while respecting privacy settings.

You’ll work with Golang or Java, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with product teams to ship features that scale to tens of billions of events per hour.

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend development in Golang or Java.
• Experience building distributed web services at scale.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
• Ability to produce and analyze web service event audit trails.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features and refactor existing ones as requirements change.
• Develop and maintain high-scale backend services processing events.
• Own a key part of a large system and grow domain knowledge with team support.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with product managers and related teams to deliver user-facing results.
• Apply engineering principles and bring best practices to the team.
