Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies, from invoicing to closing the books.

We hire people who own problems end to end and ship reliable software that directly impacts cash flow. We’re seeking a senior backend engineer to own core pieces of Ramp’s receivables system.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating production backend systems, including APIs and data models.
• Ability to balance conflicting design trade-offs with a focus on reliability.
• Strong product sense and customer-minded engineering approach.

Responsibilities

• Build the payment-matching systems that automatically apply incoming ACH, wire, card, and check payments to the right invoices.
• Design data models where every dollar is traceable from invoice to payment to general ledger.
• Build two-way integrations with ERPs like NetSuite and QuickBooks that stay consistent through retries and edits.
• Build collections workflows to help businesses get paid faster without hurting relationships.
• Own projects end to end from problem definition to production launch and monitoring.
• Mentor teammates through design reviews and code reviews.
