Ramp is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the accounting and financial data flows powering the Ramp platform. You’ll design backend services, APIs, and data models, and own complex projects from design through production, collaborating with product, design, and engineering to make accounting workflows reliable and scalable.

You’ll ensure data is accurate and traceable as transactions move through reconciliation and syncing processes, improve cross-system resilience, and mentor teammates

Competenze

• Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems.
• Strong system design judgment around data correctness and reliability.
• Track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping quality software.
• Ability to investigate problems across services and data flows.
• Clear communication and collaborative decision-making.

Mansioni

• Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models that support accounting workflows across Ramp's products
• Make financial data accurate, traceable, and resilient as transactions move through coding, reconciliation, and sync
• Improve the reliability and visibility of workflows that span Ramp and customers' accounting systems
• Partner with product and engineering to translate finance needs into practical designs
• Own substantial projects from design through launch, monitoring, and iteration
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and mentorship
