Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to lead the design of high-performance, cloud-native backend systems. This role is hybrid with onsite presence in New York, offering opportunities to mentor engineers and shape scalable architectures within a globally recognized organization.

You will work across AWS, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and modern frameworks, driving DevSecOps practices and collaborative delivery with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in C++ with experience developing high-performance backend applications.
• Proven experience designing and building enterprise-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Python (FastAPI or similar), and related frameworks.
• Deep understanding of scalable, reliable, and secure system design.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, influence architecture decisions, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, SQL tuning, and data access patterns.
• Experience with modern software development lifecycle practices and Agile methodologies.
