Job summary

Toast is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Care Automation to design, build, and own backend services and integrations powering Customer Care workflows. You will work across Salesforce, billing systems, identity verification, and AI-enabled case management with tight collaboration to deliver reliable automation.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own backend services and APIs powering workflows for Customer Care Agents and the Toast team.
Build and maintain integrations across Salesforce, billing middleware, document management, and iPaaS platforms.
Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
Monitor feature rollouts, respond to incidents, and iterate based on data and feedback.
Partner with product, design, and cross-functional teams to define requirements.
Leverage AI tools to enhance development velocity and innovate approaches.
