Spring Health in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Care Innovation team in a hybrid role. You will develop AI-driven features to improve how members discover and engage with care, designing and delivering full‑stack agentic AI systems using Ruby on Rails and Python.

You will mentor engineers, lead multi-sprint projects, apply AI tools responsibly, and ensure security, reliability, and performance while advancing engineering best practices in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails or Python.
• Strong proficiency in building backend applications, prompt engineering, and developing AI agents.
• Experience integrating AI/ML features or LLM-powered services in production.

Responsibilities

• Integrate emerging AI technologies into the member experience.
• Own the design and delivery of full-stack AI systems.
• Design and build scalable services using Ruby on Rails and Python.
• Lead technical design reviews and produce designs as primary author.
• Mentor and develop engineers at earlier career stages.
