Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Buyercloud Ad Serving team. The role focuses on building data-driven features for ad campaigns, and scaling our distributed infrastructure to meet global demand.

You will optimize performance, contribute to the observability stack, and participate in on-call rotations while writing clear documentation and runbooks to support reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with compiled languages (C++, Java, Rust, Go).
• Experience building systems at scale and working in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data-driven features for our customers to execute marketing campaigns.
• Scale distributed application and infrastructure to the next level.
• Optimize algorithms and software architectures to save cloud hosting costs.
• Support and extend the observability stack and participate in on-call rotations.
