Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading electric and gas utility company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a backend focus to design and deliver scalable solutions in AWS using Python and Node.js. This role blends API integration, microservices, and full-stack delivery in a hybrid Charlotte, NC setting.

You will collaborate with AI engineers and product teams to turn innovative concepts into production-ready applications, with rapid prototyping and production launch as core goals.

Qualifications

• Proven backend software engineering experience with API design and microservices.
• Experience deploying in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and full-stack development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Experience with frontend frameworks is a plus (Angular, React).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable software.
