Overview

Optomi, in partnership with a Fortune 10 eCommerce company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Marketplace team. You will design and develop secure, scalable backend services for a cloud marketplace platform using Java, Python, and a wide range of AWS services. This is a long-term contract opportunity working onsite in Seattle 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Python
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, etc.
• Ensure security and identity best practices across all systems
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot applications using CloudWatch and CloudTrail
• Incorporate AI-driven features using Bedrock and other AWS tools

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience with Java or Python
• Strong background in security and identity for cloud applications
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity building microfrontends with TypeScript is a plus
