Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a backend/service-oriented software engineer for autonomous systems in a hybrid role based in California. You will design and optimize backend services, APIs, and middleware to support real-time sensor data processing and AI-enabled decision-making in demanding environments.

You will collaborate with robotics, hardware, sensing, AI, and systems teams, own core services, and ship software from prototype to field.

Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on backend or service-layer software engineering with ownership of core services.
Proficiency in Rust, Python, C++, or Java and real-time data integrations.
Technical degree in CS, robotics, EE, or related field.
Experience in autonomy domains and shipping software in fast prototype-to-field environments.
Practical engineering experience beyond ML research; familiarity with LLM systems is a bonus.
US work authorization and eligibility for security clearance; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize backend and service-layer software for autonomous systems.
Develop real-time processing for heterogeneous sensor data and state estimation.
Build integrations with sensors, actuators, and autonomous platforms.
