Job summary

Enode is building the software layer that makes home energy devices operate as a single system. The Home Energy team owns integrations and APIs for batteries, solar, HVAC, and smart meters, and drives the home energy management system with analytics that customers leverage to optimize energy usage.

You will join the Home Energy team, collaborating with product mgmt, backend engineers, and partnerships to evaluate OEM feasibility and shape the API surface for a unified control layer.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining backend services in production, API/integration-heavy systems.
• AI is a real part of how our engineers work and you should be fluent with it.
• Strong skills designing for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Ability to own work from scoping to production rollout, iterating on user needs and usage insights.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with OEM cloud platforms across batteries, solar, smart meters, and HVAC.
• Design and evolve home energy APIs, unifying telemetry and controls across HEM, batteries, and curtailment.
• Incorporate AI as a standard part of development and create reusable tools and processes.
• Improve observability and vendor performance across integrations and participate in triage rotations.
• Collaborate with partnerships and commercial teams on API feasibility for new OEM integrations.
• Engage with customers to shape product direction through feedback.
