Homebot is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and scale our APIs, services, and data layer. You will own end-to-end delivery, using AI tooling to ship features quickly and responsibly, while building AI-driven workflows that streamline how we work.

You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap, write maintainable code, and ensure reliability and observability across systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production-grade software.
• Experience building APIs and services with REST and GraphQL.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with AI-powered dev tools and agentic workflows.
• Commitment to testable, well-typed code and runtime validation.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow applications, services, and APIs by shipping new features.
• Own end-to-end implementation using AI tooling to deliver production-ready features.
• Create AI-driven workflows and automation to streamline processes.
• Collaborate through code reviews, planning, and architecture discussions.
