Job summary

Apple Industries is seeking a Senior Back End Developer to design, build, and operate the services behind our core platform. You will work primarily with Java/Spring Boot microservices, relational databases, and AWS, while collaborating with frontend teams on API contracts.

AI-assisted development is a core workflow, and you will mentor colleagues while maintaining high standards of security and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Java stack.
• Hands-on fluency with approved AI coding tools as part of daily practice.
• Strong microservices experience with service-to-service communication patterns.
• Significant AWS competency with EC2/S3/Lambda in production workloads.
• Strong SQL and relational DB design, migration management.
• Advanced problem-solving and debugging across multiple services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Testing discipline including unit and integration tests.
• Version control fluency with Git and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production Java services and APIs using Spring Boot.
• Incorporate AI tooling to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Own data layer schemas, SQL queries, and migrations across evolving services.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on clear API contracts.
• Deploy and troubleshoot services in AWS environments.
• Debug cross-service issues and design scalable, observable solutions.
• Uphold coding standards, security reviews, and testing practices.
• Communicate design decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Mentor teammates and participate in technical planning and estimation.
