Job summary

Truelogic is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and own production backend services as part of a major platform modernization. You will move capabilities from a third-party CMS to independently owned services, starting with authentication and identity, while supporting a headless frontend and other digital products.

The role requires strong Java and Go, hands-on AWS/GCP experience, and a focus on reliability, observability, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering experience
• Strong Java and Go production experience
• Hands-on AWS and Google Cloud experience
• API design and distributed systems knowledge
• Authentication and identity systems experience
• Experience migrating services from third-party CMS or legacy platforms
• Strong observability, logging, metrics, and tracing
• Autonomy in delivering scalable backend services
• Experience in AI-first engineering environments
• Fluent English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own production-grade backend services
• Lead design of authentication and identity service
• Define APIs for headless frontend and digital products
• Design with REST, GraphQL, and/or gRPC
• Plan migrations with minimal disruption
• Operate cloud-native services on AWS and Google Cloud
• Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, observability
• Implement logging, metrics, and tracing
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering Manager and stakeholders
• Mentor a mid-level engineer and contribute to standards
• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows
• Continuously improve architecture and Dev practices
