Job summary

Trillion is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale secure, cloud-native backend services and APIs. You will lead hands-on development, guide architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers.

Collaborating with customers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions, you will improve reliability, security, observability, and performance, while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including backend development.
• Expert-level Python development experience in production environments.
• Experience designing GraphQL APIs and backend architectures.
• Hands-on with AWS services and cloud-native development.
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices, distributed systems, and database design.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience gathering requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and engaging directly with customers.
• Proficiency with AI-powered developer tools and the ability to validate and review AI-generated code effectively.

Responsibilities
