Job summary

Workday is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and build production systems powering large-scale LLM capabilities. You will lead the design of robust infrastructure and API services, bridging AI research and production-grade software with a focus on latency, reliability, and observability.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in backend development, strong Python expertise, and hands-on experience with LLM-based products in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend software development experience in distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in Python and modern backend technologies/api design.
• Experience developing LLM-based products (Agents, RAG) in production environments.
• Strong system architecture design skills, with cloud (AWS/GCP) and CI/CD experience.
• Deep knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Solid testing practices across the pyramid and Clean Code principles.
• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers.
• Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
• Authorization to work in Israel.
