Job summary

EvenUp Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and optimize scalable backend systems for deploying LLM-powered solutions. You will own infrastructure, drive end-to-end projects, and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver robust platform capabilities.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and high-performance systems using a modern tech stack including Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch. Hybrid work with SF office three days per week.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance.
• Proficiency delivering production-ready code, managing infrastructure, and building RESTful APIs to industry standards.
• Experience owning and delivering complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance scalable backend systems supporting LLM-driven products and internal platforms.
• Own infrastructure and services for reliable deployment, experimentation, and iteration of AI-powered systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver reusable, scalable solutions.
• Influence the technical direction and long-term architecture of EvenUp’s AI platform.
• Maintain high standards for reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability.
• Drive projects from early design through deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
