Job summary

Close is seeking seasoned software engineers to work on AI-native production systems. You’ll use Python as the backbone while occasionally exploring Go, Rust, or TypeScript.

You’ll ship agentic features, design retrieval and evals, and reason about context engineering in production. You’ll work across non-deterministic, probabilistic systems, balancing deterministic workflows with AI-driven steps to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions for thousands of customers.

Qualifications

• Seasoned engineer with strong Python experience.
• AI-native in production with meaningful agentic features.
• Experience shipping features involving retrieval, evals, tool design, context engineering.
• Willingness to work across models and workloads and pick the right tool for the job.
• Comfortable with non-determinism and probabilistic outputs.

Responsibilities

• Ship code execution for the assistant, including charts and tables in Python.
• Build the eval and observability layer with tests and traces for non-deterministic output.
• Push generated UI forward, with backend deciding presentation and full-screen experiences.
• Take Custom Agents from prototype to GA with real-time event handling inside CRM.
• Fuse deterministic workflows with AI-driven steps for reliability and intelligence.
