Agentic Setup in San Francisco is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build agentic experiences for product setup and configuration, designing a core framework and contributing to a growing skills ecosystem. You will ship production-grade software, define contracts for reusable agent skills, and help ensure safety and reliability of AI-driven workflows across teams.

You will evaluate code quality, work across runtime, capability design, and evaluation infrastructure to push the boundaries of AI

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Experience with API design, versioning, and building reusable services.
• Strong coding skills in at least one modern programming language and shipping production code.
• Ability to reason about large, ambiguous systems and communicate tradeoffs.
• Demonstrated AI-first engineering approach using AI tools to accelerate work.
• Advanced prompt engineering skills and creating reliable system context.

Responsabilités

• Design and build a core agent framework for multiple capabilities and tasks.
• Define contracts for reusable agent skills and ensure composability.
• Build evaluation infrastructure to monitor non-deterministic outputs and catch regressions.
• Help agents find records using structured queries, catalogs, and semantic search.
• Deliver production-grade software using modern engineering practices with AI as a core component.
• Maintain shared system context with designs, constraints, and standards.
• Critically evaluate code for correctness, security, and performance.
