Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Backend Data Test Engineer in Baton Rouge, LA to validate large-scale data systems and ensure data accuracy across backend platforms and frontend/UI applications.

You will perform ETL validation, work with Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and collaborate with Analysts, DBAs, and DevOps to maintain data integrity and system performance in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct experience as a Backend/Data Tester or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in backend data testing and SQL across PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Experience with big-data environments (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Slack; familiar with Agile/SAFe processes.
• Ability to craft clear user stories, defects, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently within a Scrum/Kanban team.

Responsibilities

• Validate ETL and backend data across big-data tech including Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL.
• Analyze CMS datasets like Shared Systems Claims, Final Action Indicator, Provider and Beneficiary data.
• Validate data from CMS Integrated Data Repository; reconcile backend vs frontend outputs.
• Collaborate with Analysts, DBAs, Developers, and DevOps to ensure reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed backend test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios.
• Design API-based test scenarios to validate backend services and data flows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support end-to-end data integrity.
