Job summary

Fingent is seeking a Hybrid Backend & Data Infrastructure Engineer to architect scalable backend services and high-throughput data platforms powering core products and insights.

You will bridge software engineering, distributed systems, and data infrastructure, designing high-performance microservices, streaming pipelines, and cloud-native infrastructure, while solving complex distributed challenges across data and services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend or data platform experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy low-latency, scalable APIs and microservices.
• Integrate AI/LLM models and external services (e.g., AWS Bedrock).
• Design robust state-management patterns for high-concurrency workloads across worker pools and queues.
• Develop scalable job orchestration workflows using Celery, Dagster, or Airflow.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS with IaC (CDKTF/Terraform).
• Build observability, reliability, and monitoring stacks with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
