Job summary

Raydar is seeking a senior backend-focused software engineer to own key platform components end-to-end. You will drive architecture, craft design proposals, and partner with product to ensure fast, scalable, and dependable delivery.

You’ll work with AI-assisted coding tools, guide teammates, and contribute to the technical roadmap while keeping quality and safety of machine-generated code at the forefront. Remote within the US/Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience at a growth-stage tech company with enterprise adoption.
• Proven track record delivering production software with AI coding tools.
• Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript skills.
• Experience with distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• End-to-end technical ownership of a significant product area.

Responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and build-out of major platform features from concept to release.
• Produce design proposals and weigh technical changes against business rationale.
• Plan for speed, scale, and reliability as demand grows.
• Use AI coding assistants to generate code and review results with care.
• Coach engineers and shape the team's technical roadmap.
• Collaborate with product to align engineering efforts with business needs.
