Job summary

Raydar is seeking a senior mobile engineer to take technical ownership of a cross-platform React Native app. You will split time between coding and guiding design and quality, collaborating with product, design and backend teams to keep the app evolving and shipping on a steady cadence.

You will own architecture, performance, and long-term upkeep across iOS and Android, while driving features from planning to release in a fully remote US-based team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in software engineering with a focus on mobile development.
• Proven track record delivering production apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong experience with React Native, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Recent mobile product experience in the crypto or blockchain space.
• Comfort writing substantial code while guiding technical decisions in a small, fully remote team.

Responsibilities

• Take over an existing mobile app and keep its development moving smoothly.
• Own the structure, scalability, speed, stability and long-term upkeep of the app across iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend colleagues to turn features into intuitive mobile experiences.
• Shape service interfaces, third-party connections and live data streaming within the app.
• Build substantial new features in React Native and TypeScript, often from a blank slate.
• Define and maintain coding standards and best practices for the codebase.
• Guide features from technical planning through development, testing, release and refinement.
• Troubleshoot live issues and tune the app for responsiveness.
• Coach teammates through peer review and design discussions.
