Job summary

Luxoft is seeking an experienced senior software engineer to lead backend services in our Calypso initiatives in New York. You will own architecture, drive production-grade Java/Spring solutions, and collaborate across squads.

The role focuses on modernizing platforms, building scalable integrations, and ensuring low-latency, high-availability systems for trading and operations in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years production software engineering across multiple products.
• Advanced Java & Spring expertise with solid JVM knowledge.
• Extensive Spring ecosystem experience: Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC, Spring Security.
• Experience designing interfaces and integrations; RESTful APIs.
• Experience building decision support applications for operations/trading in finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture & development of backend services, APIs, and integrations using Java/Spring.
• Modernize codebases toward cloud-ready architectures and reduce technical debt.
• Build cross-product integration layers connecting core platforms with vendor systems.
• Optimize performance, ensure high availability, and support high-throughput workloads.
