Job summary

Luxoft seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend design, development, and modernization of mission-critical systems in the Markets line. You will own complex integrations, cross-functional work, and architectural decisions across Auctions, Trading, Operations Planning, and Rates Production products.

You will build robust Java/Spring services, champion best practices, and drive scalable, low-latency solutions with a strong emphasis on cloud-ready architectures and production reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar technical field.
• 5+ years of production software engineering across multiple products.
• Advanced Java and Spring expertise including Boot/Data/MVC/Security/Core.
• Experience with Kafka for streaming and messaging patterns.
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and cache systems (Redis).

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and deliver backend services and APIs using Java and Spring.
• Own engineering work from architecture through production deployment.
• Translate complex requirements into scalable designs and trade-offs.
• Lead modernization efforts and implement cloud-ready architectures.
• Collaborate across squads on integration and performance improvements.
