Moonshot is seeking a Senior Backend & Platform Engineer to own critical systems—identity, payments, and blockchain infrastructure. You will design, implement, and operate highly secure, scalable backend services enabling rapid product development across teams.

Location: NYC preferred; remote within the US/Canada. You’ll mentor peers, uphold reliability standards, and stay aligned with crypto industry best practices.

Formación

• 5–12+ years of backend or platform engineering in fintech, crypto, or similar domains.
• Deep expertise in one of: Identity & access / security engineering, Financial systems / ledgering / payments, Blockchain infrastructure / on-chain data.
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems (datastores, queues, streaming, background workers).
• Track record driving architecture decisions through implementation and adoption.
• Strong operational mindset: monitoring, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
• Excellent collaboration with Product, Security, and Ops.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate Identity & Access Management services (authentication flows, sessions, device trust).
• Own financial operations systems (transfers, ledgering, reconciliation, risk controls).
• Build and maintain blockchain infrastructure (node/RPC, transaction submission, indexing, data streaming).
• Define reliability and observability standards (SLOs, dashboards, runbooks, incident mgmt).
• Lead large cross-functional technical projects from design to rollout.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and reviews.
