Cari is building a blockchain-based payments platform, and this role sets the technical direction for the platform infrastructure used by Banking and Blockchain teams. You’ll shape durable workflow orchestration, transaction-ordering, and reusable API primitives across services.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in backend software engineering.
• Experience setting technical direction across multiple teams.
• Strong production experience with TypeScript and functional effect systems.
• Experience designing reusable platform components and services.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for cross-cutting backend platform infrastructure.
• Design systems spanning multiple services and plan migrations.
• Establish reliability standards across services and perform pre-launch risk analysis.
• Build tooling, templates, and standards to reduce process overhead org-wide.
• Align multiple engineering teams on shared direction and gain consensus.
• Represent backend platform engineering in cross-org planning and risk assessments.
