Job summary

Aequilibrium is a technology professional services firm seeking a Senior Back End Developer to integrate and extend the Backbase digital banking platform. You will join a fun, agile team delivering client projects and shaping architecture with Designers, Product Managers, and developers.

The role emphasizes consulting in a professional services setting, cross-project coordination, and a strong focus on clean, maintainable code, rapid impact, and collaboration with clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on commercial experience integrating, extending, or implementing the Backbase Digital Banking Platform in production environments.
• 5+ years of production-level experience with Java, Spring, and Spring extensions (Web MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security).
• SOAP and RESTful Web Services with XML/JSON/RAML.
• Microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Unit Testing using JUnit.
• Experience with application servers: Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, or JBoss.
• Strong Git/Subversion experience.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Apache Camel.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience on a SaaS platform or SOA.
• Cloud technologies: AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Security and data handling in financial services.
• Experience in financial services or professional services.
• B.S. in CS or related field.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Knowledge of TDD and CI.
