Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer focused on Azure. This remote role involves designing and operating Azure infrastructure, managing GitOps deployments, and maintaining high reliability and security standards. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in SRE/DevOps and extensive knowledge of Azure services, Terraform, and security best practices. Strong collaboration skills are essential for working across teams. This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE/Platform/DevOps roles operating production systems.
• Practical experience with Azure AD/RBAC, network security, secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Design & operate Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Git-based workflows.
• Manage GitOps deployments with ArgoCD integrating with GitHub for change management.
• Provision & maintain databases: Azure MySQL and Azure SQL Server.
• Define SLIs/SLOs, implement telemetry, and run capacity/performance tuning.
• Enforce best practices for identity, access, network segmentation, secrets, and configuration hardening.
• Improve pipelines and repeatable runbooks to reduce toil.
• Maintain high-quality runbooks and architecture diagrams.
