Job summary

SilverTech, Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Team Lead to guide our SRE team and evolve our managed hosting practice. You will own performance, security, and reliability across Azure, AWS, WP Engine, and Windows Server/IIS, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with clients.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, infrastructure as code, CI/CD in Azure DevOps, and a focus on uptime, security, and proactive improvements. Flexible hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systems administration, cloud infrastructure, or hosting environments.
• 2+ years in leadership/management.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure hosting services (App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vaults, Application Insights).
• Strong experience administering Windows Server and IIS in production.
• Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform) and CI/CD in Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Solid understanding of cloud security (IAM, network security, vulnerability management).
• Strong communication and client-facing skills with ability to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and oversee the SRE team, prioritizing work and balancing demands.
• Review the team’s output to ensure quality, security, and standards compliance.
• Own on-call rotation and incident response for 24/7 client coverage.
